To You from Mama

DSCF0246

What is this I am feeling? It is awe!

You are growing, little by little inside of me.

I feel your heart beating, how wonderful it was.

It is a surprise, a miracle indeed.

Even before I saw your face, I want to give you my loving embrace.

Just knowing you are there makes me cry with joy.

How blessed I am that is for sure, I thank God every day for you are my boy.

Now the time comes when you have to see the world.

Painful as it was, never would I will change it for anything.

It is true, it was not easy, and I feel like I am dying.

But knowing you depend on me makes me want to fight and live.

Because you are a gift, an amazing gift.

You make my life complete and happy every day.

My life is now worthwhile knowing you are mine.

My dream is for you to grow as a wonderful young man.

Someone who knows how to love, respect and give kindness to your fellow man.

Despite anything, know that your mama will always be proud of you.

It is for sure no matter what happens, my baby I will be here.

I pray you know I love you more and more.

Please bear with your mother if she can’t give you all what you need or want.

I am not perfect, I hope you understand.

Someday, may you say I make you proud and make you glad my lad.

But know this that in my heart my love for you will forever be true.

I hope I am able to show that to you every single time my lovely son.

Your mama is here, and will never leave your side unless I die.

I know someday, you have to leave our nest.

It is hard but I know I should just let you be blessed.

When the time comes, please know you can still come back as you want.

My loving arms will always hold you dear.

I love you my baby boy, you make my life beautiful.

      • I wish I did a wonderful job. I have 3 boys (all of them grown) and I do love how they reaffirm that I did good but of course we’re always harder on ourselves. I made so many mistakes but they don’t seem to hold them against me – thank goodness. It is a journey like none other though so just enjoy the ride.

      • If children reaffirm that we did a good job, it is really an accomplishment and wonderful to hear. I agree, we are harder on ourselves. My mom also has done mistakes, I don’t take it against her as she did the best she could under the circumstances and I focused on her hardwork, love, kindness and compassion so I try to show her even in a small way that I appreciate and love her, still she might be too hard on herself. I am glad to hear your 3 children appreciates what you have done for them. Indeed, it is an exciting journey. Thank you for the advice, I will try to enjoy the ride. πŸ™‚

      • I had at times an unhappy, turbulent childhood with a single mom who had a mental breakdown. Then I was unable to have children. So try not to stress out and enjoy every beautiful moment with our adorable little boy. I turned out fine despite the sad circumstances! πŸ™‚

  6. This is something which every mother feels when the lad is inside her.
The love and care that she has kept for him.
The aspirations she has for the the child.
This, the baby as it grows shall not have the knowledge of what the mom has put in, in its upbringing.
I feel this Post what you have put on your Blog shall be a standing note for the child to look back to know what went so far.

  7. This can only come from a sweet, loving mother. What would we be without our sweet mothers. You do much more than we can ever be grateful for. May the light of every mother shine! And may the children succeed and bring joy to the ones who sacrifice so much for them!

  8. What a beautiful post!

The beauty of a mother’s selfless love for her child forms the basis of what is possibly the most wondrous relationship in the world. In β€œYour Sacred Self”, author Wayne Dyer brings in a parable in which two unborn twins speculate about what or who is Mother and what it would be like in the outside world. I urge you to read it if you have not done so.

Interestingly, I have referenced it in my recent post and I give the link here should you or any of your readers be interested.

Oh how I wish, I am just blessed to have a wonderful husband who cooks for us, if they will depend on me for cooking, we will die of hunger lol πŸ™‚
