I have found this post while checking out blogs. I think it’s a great read for those who are new at blogging as it comes from a veteran blogger like Kathy Gottberg.

  3. Variety they say is the spice of life. I have met a variety of writers in the blogging community and have enjoyed an array of views, thoughts, poems, stories. From recipe pages, to storytellers, photography blogs, personal matters, family life, mums, the retired and so much more. Its been fun for me and i am learning a lot from this great variety. As a new blogger, one can sometimes be unsure about a post, an idea or thought but hey…just keep writing and sharing. Its better to write something than to be too afraid to deep your feet in the waters because you definitely have something beautiful to add to the community and the world over. In fact i just dusted my basic English grammar book and i had fun reading through it with my kids. All in the bid to be a better writer. Thanks for sharing Shinepositivepower.   6. Great lessons in life summed up in ten lines… this one is my favourite #5 Pain is inevitable but suffering is optional.

    but #8… do not listen to critics… well sometimes we should listen..I guess… please write more of these posts…really enlightening words!!!

  10. These are brilliant! I especially liked the one about pain is inevitable but suffering is optional – I think it is so true. It’s a bit like one I heard once upon a time which is that you can’t control what happens to you, you can only control how you react to it – which is such an empowering thought. Nothing bad happens unless you let it!

  19. I love #1 because it is true about life. If you don’t like what you are doing, everyone will know! You will emit it, like the rude person in customer service- It’s just not your thing and you should find something else, lol. But they just don’t see it! But when you do something you like or love you are happy and it’s easy to be patient, caring, and understanding because know what you are talking about and could do it in your sleep. You eat, sleep, and breath that thing. I always encourage people to do what they love even if it doesn’t pay that much, it pays more in a stress free life and will be worth it in the end, you will find a way to make more money from it because you are happy!

      • I think they’re useful too. My first couple of months of blogging were very tough because I was trying to follow unrealistic advice.

        I’m afraid the toughness never really went away, but the bewilderment is gradually reducing and the enjoyment of writing stuff, reading stuff and meeting new people has only grown week by week. 🙂

      • I’m glad to know that 🙂 I didn’t think much about blogging since I don’t see myself as a writer. I wrote my first post a month ago just to try then just joined a community of bloggers recently. I found myself enjoying reading other people’s post and sharing my view via comment so I’ve become interested because I’m meeting wonderful people 🙂 I don’t want to be too hard on myself. I believe if you enjoy doing something, the benefit is just an icing on a cake. Thanks for visiting and may you continue sharing your joy as well. 🙂
